Richardsons on Sky News re VAT changes in the Pipeline

It was good to see  Richardsons this morning on Sky News.   The topic of conversation was the proposed VAT change for businesses in the country to promote tourism in the UK.     Chris was on Broadsman (I think it was Broadsman) and lovely shots of the yard in the summer sun.

Germany reduced its standard VAT rate from 19% to 7% a couple of years ago for some hospitality services including hotel room charges.  In my experience most hotels kept the room rates at roughly the same level (i.e. they pocketed the VAT saving).
