Broads busy this year.

Just heard on BBC Radio Norfolk thar tourism is well up this year.Norfolk BroadsDirect. Just been on saying that they have all of their fleet out so if that is the same all round it will be busy on the rivers !

That is good news, I know a lot of people regard August as the silly season on the rivers but can only be good for local shops and pubs. We try to use the little local shops when we are on holiday for our supplies rather than the big super market chains, let's hope everyone does the same and keep the whole Broads net work thriving. I may have mentioned this before but we also use the Broads pubs quite a lot

Although it is known as the silly season Grace on the rivers, the real silly season is on the roads, with the annual holiday drivers on them, driving as if no tomorrow!

Currently on Breydon and I have never seen so many boats passing though.

We found the North busy but not as busy as expected but the South has been far busier than I have ever seen.9

After the past year aka 2013, its great to read that the rivers are busy this year, I hope though, its spread around the system. Just shows what decent weather can do to the UK holiday trade.
