A passer-by jumps into the River Wensum to rescue an elderly man yesterday afternoon, both men were pulled from the water by holiday makers on a cruiser.

It's stories like this that restore your faith in human nature, to jump in and rescue a complete stranger, what a brave man Matthew McKeller is and hats off to the holiday makers on the hire boat for helping, they all deserve a medal in my book. 

 

I hope the dear man that fell in recovers and is ok

We were moored just across from where it happened. We left at 5:45 to go to the Cinema and heard about it this morning. It can happen so easily.
