Wroxham Bridge

Morning all,

What are the water levels like at the minute, particularly in the Wroxham area. We'll be on the water at the end of October and would like to visit Coltishall. Beautiful stretch of river that we've not cruised since 2009. We are on Ibiza which has an air draft of 6ft 10in.

The Potter Heigham Bridge Twitter feed was giving five ten at Potter bridge this morning so it looks as if levels could be a bit on the high side at the moment. Obviously there will be more under Wroxham and of course things could well change again before October. It's all down to tides, pressure and wind direction at the time. Hope you can make it though, it is indeed a lovely stretch of the river.

Just looked at the Barnes webcam - looks to be about six nine at the mo but I believe you have a bit extra on top of that so you would probably be OK as things stand now. As I say things can change but will keep fingers firmly crossed for you!

I went through and back in mid August with an air draft of 6ft. 9in. and no problems at all.

Spring tide is 26Th (big rise/big fall) so time it right and you should be OK. Agree about the chug up to Coltishall being one of the best stretches and heaving with kingfishers!

Our back up will be mooring outside Hotel Wroxham so I guess we'll just have to see.

Water looked a little high yesterday, but there was plenty of room to get a Alpha 32 through (an old one)

Got through today for the first time and it's another world passed the bridge, calm waters full of weedand see the bottom. There was 6 behind me at 1115 plus the boat that came passed everyone to the side of me to be told it won't go through.Potters

 

was a no go with a boat stuck under it yesterday.
