Rincewind
So, are you trying to say that modern day bands like say, One Direction and the legend that is Justin Bieber won't be around forever Whilst I won't say that I hope such awesome repositories of raw talent disappear without trace taking their abysmal dross with them...I merely gloat on the possibility.

SPEEDTRIPLE
So, are you trying to say that modern day bands like say, One Direction and the legend that is Justin Bieber won't be around forever Grace For the love of God, i hope NOT. Steve Miller Band were a very UNDERRATED band, and it`s good to know they`re still going. I might be going to se Simple minds at the 02 place in Boscombe next year, and if Steve Miller Band come down, i`l see them too.

Timbo
I came across these guys busking in York a couple of years ago...Blackbeard's Tea Party...I've now purchased all of their albums and although the sound quality on this clip isn't too great I'm a bit like the little lad in this clip...I can't help dancing to them! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP_QLAJgBIc
CooWee
Nice one Jill, what a fun thread; I could give Tim two likes but people might talk! Here is my contribution to the nostalgia, I saw Them around c. 1965 at the Ritz, King's Heath, Birmingham. Here is what they were like then, the film's not great and the lip sync. is a bit out. I seem to remember Van Morrison's hair longer that shown, but it was a long time ago.

CooWee
Another one for you Jill, in my view this is the best version of "Comfortably Numb." I never played this while Gareth was growing up, I thought it would spoil his dream of rugby stardom if I kept hearing the line - "The child has grown, the dream has gone" The child has gone and is now living his dream with his wife, Sandra, in Australia. Hope the link works okay.
