Norfolk Pubs (Punch Taverns)

Soundings

Recommended Posts

I would think probably not although it is a thought. Punch have sold the pubs to New River Retail, pub wreckers extraordinaire. They in turn are in working with the Co-op to open much needed convenience stores. I think these are in urban areas though so the Potter pubs may be safe - for the moment. In any event I think the Falgate is/was Enterprise but I could be wrong (I often am).

Incidentally one of the pubs Punch have sold to NRR is the Roscoe Head in Liverpool which has appeared in every edition of the Good Beer Guide since 1974.

I'm not a fan of Punch or New River Retail but this is a family forum so I'll say no more!

Ah Howard, you are taking me back to my early days of supping real ale. I have/had family relations in Liverpool, and this was my Uncles Local when he left the office for a liquid lunch! Very handy if you worked in the city centre.

Roscoe Head landlady fears pub could be turned into convenience store after its sale by Punch Taverns - Liverpool Echo

cheersIain.
