i read that sad news on fbook today too, my heart goes out to the family , it seems strange how she was still at stbennets , especially with the currents , just wondering if she was trapped under someones boat poor thing, RIP lulu xx

Always sad to lose a loved pet, and I can only begin to imagine how tough it must be to lose one in these circumstances.  I'd also spare a thought for the Ranger who had the not very pleasant task of hauling the body out of the water and bringing it to shore.

So very right you are, Bob. unfortunately I have been involved in the recovery of several varied cadavers over a lifetime on the Broads. Thank God no children though. It's something that you don't easily forget. A kind thought on your behalf.
