The first posting on the dreaded FaceBook reads thus:

'Lulu's Legacy' is a page set up in the memory of Lulu, a much loved beautiful little Staffie who's young life sadly came to an end in the River Bure at St Benet's Abbey on 17.10.15....this page aims to promote the use of Dog Lifejackets in the hopes that this will not happen again leaving any other family devastated..
