Hi Geoff,

When I was much younger, it was part of my school holidays to have a day on one of the pleasure boats on the Firth of Clyde.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TS_Duchess_of_Montrose  I have been on the Waverley many times, they use to do an evening cruise around Ailsa Craig with a live band on board. Also this one http://www.clydesite.co.uk/clydebuilt/viewship.asp?id=6338

I have been on the bridge of Waverley but too young to remember much about it! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS_Waverley

Thank you for the link to the Waverley. It is now a dear day out, but, IF the weather is good, you canny beat a guid day going up n doon the watter!:naughty:

cheersIain
