Now think about it David, if I owned a beauty like that I would surely have enough money to hire a Crew to do all the zig zagging and such like, you know the sort of thing, a Captain at the helm in a kind of navy type uniform and cap, rugged looks, tanned with big strong arms  oops, sorry got a bit carried away there, lol

So, A saily skipper displayed a total lack of control and hit the bank. I thought that second to hitting another boat, that was perfectly normal behaviour for sailies!

Poppy, you have to remember that MM suffers from PTS. (Post thrutching stress). All sailies intimidate him now, which I am sure we could turn to good account somehow........

I notice the vessel in question is not approaching the quay under sail.

As is usual with proper boats (saileys)   the problems start when the iron topsail is hoisted.

The first Clive will polish out between hires, he is used to it.

Captain Ron is cut, the turn was to early and the bow was shy of the quay, would have had to have another go to get along side unless the wind was blowing him on. I know I have watched Happy Jax do it often enough.

All the crashing skippers know exactly what they are doing and can turn their boat on a sixpence. They have total control don't you know.
