I have seen some of the LED ones, 200 hours - hmm when I drive early mornings several are blinking - low battery.

Maybe its just me but I have always preferred the original cat eyes, as with anything they have to be maintained, they were a godsend in fog.

I guess like most things trailedled in the lab it does not allow for dirt covering the cells unlike the old ones that have eyelashes that cleaned the lens when you ran over them.John
