senator
Well that is it, after 9 years on the Broads we are off to pastures new, we will miss the Broads and also our Marina, having spent 8 years moored at Reedham marina it really has become a second home. Us leaving means there is a space for a boat upto 45' on the river frontage, a lovely spot with great views of the railway bridge and surrounding fields. Reeddham also gives you the ability to go three ways being at the junction of the Yare and the new cut, you can head for Reedham and on to Norwich, take the new cut to Oulton Broad or Beccles or down towards Breydon Water, Yarmouth and up onto the Northern Broads. There probably isn't a better positioned marina on the Broads for those that like to cruise. The marina itself is small and friendly with hosts Keith and Sandra happy to help whenever you need it. To top it all it is also great value so if anyone is or knows someone looking for a birth you could do a lot worse than to give Keith a ring on 07901 652 029 or 01603 714 044 tell him Ian sent you

BroadScot
Oh there used to be an excellent Canton restaurant in Ipswich, just across from the Novotel. First class it was. All you will require, now, is to understand the Ipswich twang, Ian. Enjoy you new moorings, happy cruising. Iain.

Should we be lucky to get Lightning for one of the meets, you and Heather will always be welcome aboard for the weekend. It was bad enough going past Reedham marina and NOT seeing Clanny in her mooring last year, now i think we`ll be having withdrawl symptms. Seriously though, we hope you have a lot of enjoyment out of your new boat, and new surroundings.
senator
Thanks Neil, total change, no more piece and quite as we are at Haven in the City Docks. Will miss the Broads and all the friends we have made but then boats are supposed to move and we have really taken root a little with 9 years in one place. Looking forward to picking up a buoy at pin mill Steve, lovely spot to spend the night. Restaurants is a little take your pick nowadays in Ipswich Iain with some excellent eateries. they will however make even the most expensive of Broads hostelry's seem good value. senator
Dreamers Dream will be around till at least Whitsun although after next weekend she will be on sticks on the hard. Heather is having a back operation on March 16th so the journey from Birmingham to, well anywhere is out for at least 8 weeks, hoping that Whitsun we can drop her back in and although Heather won't do the journey to Ipswich, something she is a little upset about as we were planning to go out through Mutford to say goodbye to the Broads and leave with the image of the Wherry hotel, where we married August 2014, at least once we get to Ipswich it won't be long before she can at least be aboard. We have lots of happy memories of the Broads but the wedding is definitely up there with that 10lb Bream from Loddon basin,
