[Brilliant Afloat]

We've just taken ownership of our first boat, so last month we experienced our first lift in. I must've looked like a Cheshire Cat sitting in the cockpit. The experience of anticipating when the boat would float and then being released from the cradle was just awesome.

4 months is a long time since the last video. The rascals adventures have been sorely missed!

We've hired several times from Broom. The boats are lovely, very clean and  well maintained. Service is always good and they always remember us when we return, which we frequently have. The Captain especially  is very comfortable for 2 and something of a head turner. The only disadvantage is that the comfort means a sacrifice of not being able to get under lower bridges, and we've never yet managed to get under Ludham bridge, although it will go under at a very low tide (apparently).

We have nothing but good to say about Broom.

Morrisons have started to sell various stuffed and/or prepared vegetables.  Their stuffed red peppers are especially nice and you simply pop into the oven on a baking tray for a few minutes.  They go down well with a glass of rose. 

[New To The Forum And Just Bought A Boat!]

Hi everyone,  we've been around on the Broads for a few years. After much dreaming and a lot of hard saving we're thrilled to have finally bought our first boat. She's a bilge keel yacht, currently moored in Essex. This is the first year in a while that we haven't booked a hire boat on the Broads, as we're spending every spare moment on our boat, which we're just loving. However we're really missing being on the rivers this year, so it's lovely to keep in touch with events by reading everyone's posts.
