That's why it wouldn't let me add a "haha" emoji earlier!
As I said when I first joined here, I type how I speak, and to me I find humour in everything but it’s very difficult to convey that in typing

Snowy - Sorry, I missed it. Usually if you add an aptly chosen emoticon thing or two then the mods will obviously know it's tongue in cheek / joke etc

Ahhh that’s where I went wrong
all I said was.... I hope you added to your reply “do you know who I am”
but it forgot to put I know for future now

To the moderator that removed my reply to Griff, it was meant as a joke, funny comment or witty remark call it what you will, but it wasn’t meant to upset anyone,
I’m quickly learning here, not many have a funny bone

Also agreed, Robin and Griff are probably already on the “don’t let through under any circumstances” list

No, Sorry but I didn't make mysen clear there. Port and Stbd tanks, 1000 x Ltrs each, centre tank 405 x Ltrs, combined total 2405 x Ltrs, or 2:4 tonnes of diesel
Griff
Thank you, we got there in the end !

Like all official bodies they will always go after the easy pickings, the law abiding citizen that will pay up.
If that patrol boat was due be in the Brundall area today then I will give them the benefit of the doubt, but if it was dispatched specifically then that needs some explaining IMO
I would say it was specifically dispatched, and my reason for that is quite simple
look at the interest independence has caused on here and allegedly on Facebook
that’s a lot of people who already have a boat or are thinking about getting one
BA had to show they are on the ball, even if they are not on a lot of other things

I have a question.....
if topping up independence was 2,909 litres at a cost of £2,835
how much would it have been if the tanks were empty !!!

I believe the ranger said the BA office has been tracking the progress on AIS so would know exactly where he was.
Puts paid to those who thought we had a grass in our forum

Surely no-one would be so nasty as to jump on you for not having tolls? Who would contact BA over that?
I haven't commented on this thread, mostly because A) I have nothing useful to say, and B) I haven't understood most of the techy stuff! But now's the time to thank Robin for letting us all "ride along", and what a ride! Well done to all involved, and I wish Robin well in his new "abode". It takes a brave man to make such a decision, and I take my hat off to him.
Should Robin not pay tolls then ?
is he exempt ?
I don’t think it’s a case of someone grassing him up, more a case and you may need to sit down with this theory...... the people who work for BA may have an interest in the Broads and have been watching this forum for a while
its been on here for over a month of when Robin planned to arrive, so he has hardly sneaked in has he.

If Robin claims to be on a “Broom trail” he could be in Brundall in 10 minutes
