How is the steering implemented on the front steer boats?
Is it cables or hydraulic?
Any pictures of the systems used?
PS. I know the rudder is still at the back!!

You won't be able to join the canal system there as the northampton arm is narrowbeam.
That's fine. Getting up the Nene is what I need.

Not yet. Thinking of bringing a boat inland (Northampton) to be close to the grand children. This style of boat has the low air draught which ( I hope ) will make it practical.

Why is it that an exchange like that always makes me ten times nosier than normal?
I guess the seller doesn't want to broadcast the price?

I presume you are thinking of the fibreglass hulled boats, all at a single level, quite often with a forward well deck and a shape reminiscent of a bath tub.
Yes. Looking to make into a liveaboard for me and my dog and visits from my grand children.
I don't need lots of beds but want space. Hired a narrow boat for a week many years ago... couldn't live on one.
Don't want centre cockpit due to height.

Hi All
Looking to buy a what seems to be referred to here as a floating bathtub!
Bahama 42
Buccaneer 44
Carribean Major
I want one as a restoration project, preferably still floating!
Been looking (online) but nothing around that I can see.
Any one know if there is a 'best' place to look?

Yes, they did.
Many years ago I worked at Rover Group. They had a department called "press cars". Cars were prepared as demonstrators for the press. Extra sound proofing, rattles and squeaks fixed, etc.
