hi lori
thanks for that the route sounds good.

Depends what size fish you are going for. I wouldn't use a whole cob just in case you catch a big one, and it pulls the boat down.
I have popped to the supermarket before and bought a bag of frozen sweetcorn, a lot less messy with no juice to worry about.

Hello Joe,
If you go to the staithe at Rockland St Mary the New Inn is 50 yards from the mooring just over the road.
The pubs at Loddon are all within 500 yards of the mooring (The white Horse Chedgrave, turn right over the bridge is the furthest but worth the visit). The cafe is just through the carpark and across the road, same with the shop next door.
Dukes Head is about 300 yards from the mooring up a lane.
Pubs you can moor outside, so close walking.
Ferry Inn at Surlingham, all the pubs at Reedham including the Ferry Inn, Coldham Hall at Brundall, Woods End at Bramerton, The Bell at St Olaves (but watch out for the bridge a lot of current here).
The Waverley River Centre all within the site, pub and pool the furthest at less than 200 yards.
I would think that you can moor outside the Wherry Hotel on Oulton Broad, but if you moor at the yacht station there is a couple of pubs and some shops in less than 300 yards.
I hope the above helps, there maybe some places that I have forgot.
Regards
Alan
thanks Alan.
this will be a great help.

hi joe, yes it does lock from the inside, but they're only small hinges, about as much use as chocolate fireguard, we might still be there when you come, as hubby's picking us up in the car, when he gets down from chesterfield that is . just one other thing, you'd better pack some warm night clothes, it's a very draughty boat when the wind gets up, in the front cabin, & the bed in the back cabin is a little small for tall people, lori
thanks lori
thermals packed hope to see you Saturday weather forecast don't look to bad for next week.
again have a safe journey home.

hiya
I stock sweetcorn and a small pots of boilies at my shop at Bramerton Woods End nr Norwich
but the local fishermen tell me they don't use that many maggots because they catch too many eels with
them.
there is a bait machine outside Peachments shop at Brundall but mooring is a problem.
If there is a call for it I will stock maggots or worms but the sweetcorn seems to suffice,
what you can do is if you are staying on Bramerton green overnight I can stop by the tackle shop
I pass on my way to my shop and pick some up for you.. number at the bottom.
Richard
thanks Richard

as i think you have gathered i am not a seasoned angler i only fish on holiday and not very good at it,
