I think the big problem is that liveaboards have to survive the cold weather like people camping out with tarps to keep out the constant rain and forming a second skin to the boat.

After all they were never built to be used for living on, especially in our climate, in the South of France maybe.

I recall going on board a British yacht in Porta Pollensa, Mallorca, and the owner was sat on deck managing his stock exchange transactions on the telephone.

I thought what a life! He even showed us the bow section of the vessel where the crew were accommodated, shows how large it was!

Like my brothers MTB although it was large it was certainly damp, a product of our climate for 6 months of the year.

Dream on!
