  1. I want to go through my boat and paint some floor panels and under floor storage areas with some grey paint, most of my underfloor areas are a light battle ship grey that seems to have soaked into the wood rather than put a surface on it. What product would be best used for this? Is it just a primer? I am having trouble finding the right colour in a primer, I have used an International Grey Wood Primer elsewhere but its a bit lighter, Anyway any advice as always will be muchly appreciated!

  2. I need to do some grovelling I think. An immersion is an easy Job for me aslong the tank will take one, I enjoy tinkering and improving upgrading as I go along so it would be ideal for me. Exterior and underwater condition is what I am most concerned about and wether the windows leak when it rains. Its a nuisance if they do. Everything else is within my capabilities in time.

  3. Having never been onboard either, on paper the layout looks fairly decent, I have children so the aft cabins would be ideal for them. That aside I am thinking more of using one of the rooms to store all your gear, fishing tackle, tools coats shoes etc, it could be all organised tidy with racks for rods etc. (im a bit OCD lol) a full re-upholster on the one the NYA are selling and in my view you would have a very comfortable boat. A bit of tidying Jobs here and there and I think it would be great, that is.....providing it is totally dry from above to begin with. My current boat has a rather large canopy on top which is where all the gear gets stored when we are onboard, its good but not ideal for the broads, a lower overall airdraft would be better !

  4. Hi all

Do any members here have a mooring at the Broadland Holiday Village, or can anybody give me any insight into how I might apply for one for next season. I have sent a few emails, the first time being told my boat was to big, when on passing there are boats bigger than mine there, since which they have just ignored my asking to be put on any waiting list should space arise. Moorings are so limited in this area I really wish there was more available. Any advice would be very helpful.

  5. Hi peter, how big is your battery bank? I have considered replacing our existing isotherm fridge with a domestic type when the time comes. For example I have 2 12v 110 amp hr for my domestics, how long am I likely to get before a system like yours drains the batteries completley!
