  1. Ian and I have lived in Martham for almost 6 months and what a right move it was:default_eusa_dance:. Yes it's been hard work for both of us, but such a great quite place. The move to Norfolk has been a dream come true and at time's I feel I need to pinch myself, that it is not a dream.

Plus we should be getting our new boat soon and this is because of Ian and my health , but I will not say anymore.

This Friday I will be out of action for around 5 weeks, as I am having my right hand carpal tunnel operation. So we have asked our son (Alan) to help with the new boat.

Here's to our retirement :default_beerchug: and living in lovely Norfolk.

Plus, we should soon be out on North River and Ian will tell you the name and make of our new boat :55c8f94983015_default_happyparty:.

It's been many years since I last posted and I guess it will be many years again :default_icon_kiss:.

    Stay safe.

    Regards

    Marina

  2. Here we go again, another scam.

I received an email to confirm an order placed with JDWilliams and to be delivered to a town, where I know no one. The cost of the order was just over £1,000.

Next, an email confirm delivery to this so called address.

Both emails looked VERY LIFE LIKE and at the time of receiving them I took them as real.

I am waiting for JDWilliams to come back to me.

    Regards

    RIGHT!!!

There has been a lot of discussion about who called who what.

Tempers run high, things are said that might later be regretted.

I know that if something unfortunate happens to me, in the heat of the moment I will say things that I will, in time regret. The other thing I know is that whilst in the heat of the moment, being told not to say those things will be as welcome as a fart in a phone box.

SO... lets give slack in all directions and when tempers cool lets try to look at what actually happened and try to spread the word to stop it happening again.

    Signed off.. the idiot.

Hi, well for us we still got to look at our  boat from the front and of course we are moored stern on, all I can say is great to the fenders for taking the impact on the stern.

So next time you see a boat with lots of fenders don’t laugh, think how they are protecting their boat. I know I will think like that.

    What a lovely couple

    Of course we are.

Ask other members who know us and they would know I don’t post messages on here for the fun of it. I know right from wrong and this was very wrong.

  8. As promised two photos of the panels and the panel I have unscrewed and removed.

If anyone could help, but as you all know it is not that easy, because I found damp also and that is why it has happened.

I am trying to dry it out, if only it would turn warmer and dryer.

    Fingers crossed.

    Regards

If you are passing this week, drop by. I won't be there next week or the week after.

We are on the boat from Saturday 29th Aug, but we go up to North River the first week and then back down the second week on south river.

We should be passing you either 9th or 10th Sep. Would that be ok for us to stop by then?

    Many thanks.

  11. Hi All,

Those who know us (Chelsea14Ian) and myself, with our ex Broads hire plus ex French canal boat. Alpha 29 Sweet Kingfisher.

Last time we were up I decided to look into the problem of the rear cabin bathroom.

We need to find a panel to match what was put into hire boats 20 years ago and no I forgot to take a picture of the panel.

I have looked on line and got a couple of samples, but I don't think they are what we are looking for.

So please, can anyone Help or advise us where or who to look or speak too?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Regards

I am not frightened of Marina!

I know you are a kind man and would let me have a head start to run away.

Marina you know this is just in jest ( I hope ).

Anyway a cup of tea and she is just a pussycat.

    paul

Paul, you are at it again :default_eusa_naughty:, but as it has been a long time since we last chatted face to face I may let you off, only may :default_eusa_dance:.

One thing, I am never a pussycat, even with a cup of tea, but maybe with a bar of Dark Chocolate may work :default_icon_luvlove::default_icon_luvlove:.

Will you still be at the boat the falling Wed 15th?

    All the best.

So we decided last week to come down Wed.

Jill says can we use her car, it needs a long run.

Yesterday she spent ages in her hobby room and came out with a bag of scrap material (good I think) and a list.

This morning I see her loyalty card for Sewsimple at Taverham on the table.

She is then talking about going out for the day with her friend down there, while I get on with a few jobs on Zimbi.

Does anybody think there maybe a connection?

    Conned I tell you.

Paul I think that is great. You conned, good for Jill.

Hope to see you both soon.

    All the best.

    Ian,

Hang in there until they pay you to not to work for them!

You could always take voluntary and send Marina out to work more hours.

Don't tell her I said that.

    Please.

    paul

    Hi Paul,

You are asking for trouble and yes Ian did tell me :default_wink:, but I might forgive you. Well wait till we meet at Cove (when ever that will be).

Stay safe to you both and see you at some point.

    Regards

    Marina :default_stinky:
