  1. Ok..... got to the boat to discover I have lost about 4 metres of rubbing strake.

The piece in question is just over 4 Metres so wont fit in my car (I live 300 miles away).

So any info on a local supplier / price would be appreciated ....... size 4000 mm x 20 x 90( or 100 if easier) bullnose or pencil round

I don't mind carrying it on the roof rack for a few miles but not 300.

I am on the Southern Broads.

    Thanks

  2. Whatever boat you decide on........ eventually you will be reciting those infamous words from the "Jaws " movies .....

"We need a bigger boat ".

As Regulo  says .... "don't rush into taking second best"     think long and hard about what you want to do with the boat, where you want to take it and with how many people, what facilities you require and how long you are going to stay on it.(these points will dictate how much room you need........

But most importantly see and go on as many boats as you can..........

    Good Luck...................:default_beerchug:

This is the most hilarious thread I've seen for a while...we need more of them!  I do like that it contained some sensible advice in the middle... (the dog peeing in the shower tray is my favourite - must remember that in case of emergency!!):default_coat:

    Anyway, to sum up...

Is that because you have a dog or a shower tray ?????

Hmmmm, seems I'm going to be the grit in the calendars vaseline!

Afraid I'm not impressed. This may well be because I have been spoilt by previous Broads versions. They were always glossy pictures (I know some prefer mat) also, a separate page for the days so more room for entries and notes.

If you need more space for notes , I would suggest pinning the calendar up rather than using the hanging clip, so the back of January for instance becomes an easy jotter for February if you see what I mean........ where theres a will.....
