  1. It's worth looking at a used DJI Spark (or even a new one) which seems to be the unloved member of the family because it only shoots 1080p and has a two-axis gimbal.

The video limitation is deliberate of course to protect sales of the higher spec models in the range, but it means that a used Spark in the Fly More combo with extra battery and the (essential) Controller is a bargain on eBay.

You can see the quality of the footage on YouTube, people do a lot with them... Stills are also really pretty good. Not to mention the fact that they're tiny and the DJI app is the best there is.

  2. Betty1, it was a Hubsan H501SS and it was replaced with the same model - so still a H501SS following problems with the original - it became  faulty showing an error message which would not clear on my last Broads trip.
Thank you.i have a drone but want something much better.

  3. I stayed in Norwich for a couple of nights last weekend whilst attending the Goosander AGM in Horning on the Saturday. I have a new drone, though the same model as the one which failed, and took it with me. I had time to fly it on the Friday evening so I took the train to Brundall and took the following images:

  5. Hi all,
Thought the below might interest one or two fellow forumites today....
Whilst i live in South Sheffield, my office is based in London and lately i have had to be in the city 3 or 4 days a week.  However, it is only a 15 min walk to St Katherine Dock, and most lunchtimes i take a wander down there - always something to see either in the dock or on the Thames (see last pic).
Over the weekend they held the Classic Boat Festival and whilst woodies don't really do it for me - there were some lovely boats leaving as i was down there earlier today - the first pic being a very nice (and i should imagine - very expensive) example.
The last pic is of a super yacht - Aviva that has been moored here for a good few weeks now (on the Thames that is), incidentally - i actually saw this yacht in person whilst we were in Fort Lauderdale at the beginning of May this year - must be following me around - lol (really must post some pics / details of the yachting world in Fort Lauderdale - 100's of ridiculously expensive boats everywhere).

  7. A first for us this year, a visit in July, never done it before, normally April and October.
At that time you can pretty much rock up anywhere at anytime and get a space.
So what is the perceived forum wisdom for mooring up during the busy times? Get there early (what time?) or just take a chance and be prepared to mudweight somewhere?
    You should find space.

  12. I didn't outline my remarks at your good self but at another member for his aggressive response , however I will confess to an assumption that was the boat as that was the last boat I heard you mention prior to the one you purchased , I even outlined to you at the time a boat that was for sale , trust me I've no argument with yourself especially now you have explained things , I do however take offence at certain remarks that are deliberate and discrediting for no reason what so ever hence its clear to see who has the big wooden spoon this week :15_yum:
Thank you for clearing that up.

  13. Seriously ?? Are you having a bad week or is it attack time again , I made a point and didn't not directly identify any boat or are you just picking a fight ? Talking of needless intervention your the master of that from what I can see , there was no need for your post other than to attack someone else .
You have lost me.CA is not the boat we were let down on.other things outside our control prevented us from getting that boat.the fault was ours.so your assumption was wrong.we were disapointed about not being able to purchase ca.
