If you can’t find anything in the north we are leaving our 42ft mooring in Brundall on the 24th. It’s a good mooring with all facilities but we wanted a garden.

This is the BA’s replyThe Boat Safety Scheme (BSS) will be relevant to your boat if it has any built-in wiring (or for larger boats, things such as gas systems, enclosed cabin, lighting, heating etc.) or fixed battery.

There is something very special about the Broads. I don’t know exactly what it is but you’ll either get it or you won’t. We wouldn’t want to be anywhere else and after travelling the world this is where we have ended our journey. I hope you enjoy your holiday and come to love the place as much as we and many thousands of others do.

Perhaps a competition could be organised for next year asking members to submit one Broads related Christmassy photo and the winning 5 could be used for the front of the cards. I’d be only too happy to try to organise the printing.

I really don’t like e-cards. I also know that people think they are more eco friendly but if I receive a card I want to be able to display it. My grandchildren love opening their cards and if it’s personally signed it makes it more special.

If we had a car I’d be more than happy to help but without one I don’t know what use I could be.

Oh well, it was just an idea. Christmas cards would be nice too. Perhaps someone will take it on for next year. Hope so.

Hi Ian.
Unless you’re out and about at about 0615 when I walk the dogs I probably won’t see you. Also, lovely as Brundall is, we have just secured a frontline mooring with a garden in Horning. Sorry folks but we prefer the northern broads and I love the hustle and bustle of Horning. We can sit in the garden and watch the fun outside the New Inn!!

I wasn’t thinking of lifting it in and out. It can stay where it is. Also getting fuel for a petrol one will be a problem. Just want to be able to start it and go.
The tender has oars but I don’t have a young man to use them!!
