[Police Appeal Missing Person Hickling]

The late local news said a man was missing from the Hickling area. His boat has been found and his dog on the land but nothing else.

It just beggers belief that people we trust to spend £120 million on a new Bridge would not have taken the whole Broads system into account. BA and EA should hang their heads in shame for not stopping it.

[Mobile Signal In Horning]

At the end of last week I spotted a new mast at Horning I had not noticed before. Passing today I stopped to get a better look. Is it a new cell phone mast for the area ?

Located near to Grove Farm on Norwich Road / Upper Street Horning A1062

Photos are captures from a dash cam. First one shows Grove Farm on the right. Road to the left goes to Horning. Mast is level with the trees on the right hand side.Second one shows more of the mast closer.

[Coltishall, Church Street Closed B1354 2-15 October 2023]

The road between Hoveton and Coltishall is closed now, apparently, at the Junction of Church Street, Church Loke and Rectory Road. 2 - 15 October 2023. This is the junction where Norfolk Mead Hotel is sign posted.

[Ludham Bridge Road Closure 23-26 October 2023]

Ludham Bridge is being resurfaced and the road is closed 23 October 2023 for 3 days. No vehicles, pedestrian access only.

[Serious Fire Old Smithy, Ludham]

There has been a bad fire again at the Old Smithy, School Road, Ludham. Now a bike shop.

Many old hands will remember this was Ludham Marine, Brinded. Cato and Gilding Mercury Outboard dealer. Poor place went up previously when they were still open. Cyril Brinded got hurt pulling customer motors out of the workshop. They rebuilt it and carried on for a while.
