The late local news said a man was missing from the Hickling area. His boat has been found and his dog on the land but nothing else. More information from Norfolk Police.

You just couldn't make this up. EDP article this morning is shocking about the New Bridge. It just beggers belief that people we trust to spend £120 million on a new Bridge would not have taken the whole Broads system into account. At the end of last week I spotted a new mast at Horning I had not noticed before. Passing today I stopped to get a better look. Is it a new cell phone mast for the area ? The road between Hoveton and Coltishall is closed now, apparently, at the Junction of Church Street, Church Loke and Rectory Road. 2 - 15 October 2023. There has been a bad fire again at the Old Smithy, School Road, Ludham. Now a bike shop. Many old hands will remember this was Ludham Marine, Brinded. Cato and Gilding Mercury Outboard dealer. Poor place went up previously when they were still open. Cyril Brinded got hurt pulling customer motors out of the workshop. They rebuilt it and carried on for a while. Andrew EDP Link
