Good afternoon all,
Please be aware that the Brave Futures Dragon Boat Challenge will be taking place on the River Wensum between Lady Julian bridge and Foundry bridge on Saturday 27 April 2024 between 10:00hrs and 14:00hrs.
The river remains open to navigation however boaters should expect delays while the races take place.
Please follow instructions given by the safety vessels and Ranger patrols.

If you are looking for the southern broads then Brundall Gardens Marina at Brundall would suit you.
All the facilities you need and WiFi.
If you have another base and leave the boat occasionally then you wouldn't be classed as a residential boater.

It is always interesting to get views and memories on the hire fleets, old and new.

Is there an easy way to see if a YouTube thing is monetised.
It seems to me, and I am no expert, that those who aim to make money out of a video approach it differently than say SwanR (Jean).
I enjoy the gentle nature of Jean's and others output where as I hate hearing the biased spouting of some egotistical snot who thinks I value his opinion and usually has an axe to grind.
What I do enjoy, and always read, are our own members holiday write and memories.

Boating News - Due to high water levels and significant overtopping of the quay-heading at Great Yarmouth we are temporarily closing the Yacht Station. We will re-open when water levels subside.
Our Yacht Station team are on-hand to assist anyone currently moored on-site.

Please be aware that the Broads Authority will soon be undertaking channel marker replacement works at Breydon Water.
Vessels may be temporarily restricted and regulated in their movement in the vicinity of the works from week commencing 15 April to 28 June 2024, between the hours of 08:00am and 16:00pm, excluding weekends.Vessels navigating must follow all instructions given by the construction crew.

Never have this stuff installed, it should be banned. My son has to refuse a mortgage on most properties he surveys that has it.
I have seen it cause failure of a roof.
