BroadScot
Hi Folks, We get some weird and wonderful names for Christmas Ales etc. However, IYHO which do you think are best for drinking this year? I have sampled Thwaites "Yule love it!" a 4% ABV and it disappeared very quickly! Iain
Speleologist
My winner this year must be the one from my local berwery "Oakleaf." It's a 5.8% dark ale with a rich and complex flavour, somewhat reminiscent of CHristmas Pudding. Brewed by the newest member of the brewing team, Noel Appleby, it is the first beer to a recipe of his devising. Given his name and the time of year, the beer has been christened "The First Noel!"
