  3. Hi all, Just taken my Cara Cruiser out from winter storage, getting it cleaned and ready to offer it for sale in the next weeks. Cara Cruiser Typical Specifications: Length: 15ft 4ins Beam: 6ft 9ins Draught:1ft 10ins Berths: 3 Manufacture Year: 1970's Engine's: up to 35HP, nice with 6-15HP Cara Cruiser Caravan/Boat Information: Clever Caravan/ Sailer Cruiser Boat is under 16ft long, yet with its rectangular hull design offers (trades like) offers very spacious accommodation for its size. Art deco feel/ look with its lovely curves and interior shapes. Only 500k easy launch and retrieve, easily towed by a family car. Tour Europe in comfort, cruise continental waters, broads,lakes,rivers and canals. Ideal for advertising, classic car shows, classic boat festivals, our just enjoy it will work its charms on you for sure. Sit outside on a summers evening on the veranda style stern area....BLISS! This boat has been in cherished ownership (same family) since the day it left the factory. It has all its original fixtures and fittings, all in serviceable working order. Its original roof cloth is still in place. Upholstery is a light beige Mac Gee tweed. Original gel, cream top, with blue hull. Pitch pine original table etc.I can deliver to a UK port. Had it in the water all last summer, sleeing very good 4nights a week. Hull does not take in any water. What a joy it is!!!. Will do update closer to the time of FOR SALE! Kind regards David

  5. Hi VetChugger, thanks for your comment re the seating, this is comfortable for sure. It is my own fabrication and design the inspiration was old memories of trains in the 1960. With their high backs and arm rests. It also has a rake adjustment and shortly will be fitting with pop up leg rests sourced from old reclining arm chairs. Left and right seats only finished in the same fabric. The train carrage I think about was The Orient Express. I would point out that this still converts to a double bed with extra length because of the extension into side space in the hull. I joke with a friend that it's a rest area for kings in waiting. The foam is number 16 high densitie purchased in Germany. Kind regards David
  6. Thanks to all for the warm welcome! I am based in Ireland on the Barrow river. Love my Caribbean cruiser, to my mind they are one of the very best river cruisers, I am completing a sympathetic restoration. Will upload some photo's when I figure out how to! kind regards David
  7. Hi all and thanks for joining your group, I have two boats, a 39ft Carebbian one of only 3 built with an extra long saloon and no spaces out front. I also have a lovely original Cara cruiser which will be offered for salesshortly. I wonder have any members got a service manual or information on my Dennison hydraulic drive in my Carebbian.
