Please dont take this too seriously - just to lighten the atmosphere which is very sad at the moment.  :default_hiding:

I ought to head this - to cheer us up,  well us whinging ladies, may be, but fellas take note , dont upset the little woman.  Listen to Pam's words carefully.

  2. Sounds like this is the litter for you Griff, and Purdey is amongst that pile of puppies. I’m sure that the grandchildren will soon be happy again after the last disappointment, and losing Macie.

    Those pics :default_icon_luvlove:

Little Purdey will have been worth the wait I’m sure!

  3. Lovely to see you back on the water- congrats on the purchase- she looks lovely in those pics :default_biggrin:

Will give you a wave if I spot you out :default_icon_wave:

Im guessing someone has already notified the broadbands establishments to increase their stock levels now you’ll be about more often?? :default_drinks:

  4. Silica bags are available from amazon- various sizes and what not.

I got a couple of large ones a few years ago for in the car - it’s a rag top so I wanted to be sure nothing was amiss- something like these work a treat. They come out of the outer bag, put them in your oven on low for a couple of hours every few months and they are as good as new.

    Good luck MM!

Not yet Katie, letting her take her time with new things! At two years old she has never had a proper home in a house before, everything in her life is new. Thankfully after a few little accidents the house training is now showing results but she has no idea about stairs yet and I think she'll need to be confident with them before dealing with the big steps from transom to stern well.

Boating for many reasons has been a wash out for us this year so a bit more delay, especially while it's so busy, won't hurt. But really looking forward to some autumn and winter cruising with the new admiral 👍

I’m sure she will take it all in her stride- really sensible to give her time to settle by the sound of it. Lots of time for boating in the future with her :default_biggrin:

How many of us thought the same thing... that could be a long wait!

On the dog rescue front, it is a concern that they'll go from zero to full when some kind of normality returns.

I'll take this opportunity to introduce our new rescue dog, who came to live with us 10 days ago. Meet Danni, my new boss!

And welcome to the forum Danni- I’m sure you’ll have Ray around your paw in no time.

Has Danni been out on the boat yet-Getting a bit of wind in the fur??

A quick update, the wedding goes ahead tomorrow, myself and my wife Elaine will be heading to the boat on Sunday for a weeks honeymoon, i will be putting some bunting and banners on the boat so if you see us about give us a shout, if you are moored near us i'll apologise now if there's any boat rocking happens. :8_laughing:

Congratulations! Have a wonderful day (and honeymoon)! :default_biggrin:

  8. Well....I’m guessing that tonight is Jays last night with Shadow.

I think lots of us have seen just how much he has enjoyed his time with her, so I hope he is ensuring that his fond memories are resolutely in place for the future.

Good luck Jay, with whatever the future holds and thanks for sharing the tales :default_drinks:

And so many congrats to the new shareholders, I’m sure you are both soooo excited :default_biggrin:

  9. Lovely write up Helen, thank you for sharing. How lovely that you were offered the chance to take her out. She is a stunning boat, and clearly held in such regard by her previous and current owners.

I fully understand your initial nerves- I would feel exactly the same I’m sure, but it’s clear from your fond words that you will have very carefully looked after her for the entirety- and if boats have soul (I’m a firm believer they do!) WR will have appreciated your care and having the opportunity to do what she does best! :default_biggrin:

  10. Oh I'm definitely no competition for Helen or CC!

And I shall not glory on my one round win too much, it wouldn't be distasteful, but champers has less calories than gin, so I shall look forward to a glass of that when I next spot you cruising by :default_smiley-angelic002:

Sorry missed this, no need to feel left out at all.

Just be brave and take a chance, a stab in the dark...........

......like Jea... sorry, like some do :default_biggrin:

What prize would you like exactly? :default_biggrin:

Oh, this may well be the start of something :default_biggrin: I’m not sure a stab in the dark is quite my style- I need to be a bit more sure before I can enter the competition- it’s clearly quite hotly contested!

And prize....oooh I don’t know....anything so long as it is not chocolate (I need to loose some lockdown weight!)....

  12. Honestly I'd no idea...have been feeling a bit left out of this pub game of yours as sadly I can't actually remember the last time I was inside a pub...But a flash of inspiration came in the form of your post and there it is...winner of a round. Is there a prize? :default_biggrin:
