Change of plan again !! We are on our way to Great Yarmouth, hoping we have made the right decision. Called the yacht station who have told us not to cross the Breydon waters until around 1pm .Its the hubby birthday today is there a nice pub for evening meal in Yarmouth? BTW The Bell pub was fab and food was cracking , proper home cooked food

OldBerkshireboy do you know what , we have sort realised you can’t plan a trip (and many people on this forum have told me this !) listen to good advice!! We are actually contemplating on Great Yarmouth tomorrow, is that a no, or let’s give it a go, go , go Its the hubby birthday tomorrow although mines more important

We got a mooring outside The Bell , last one So I think we will stay here now other than The Bell what else is here please ?

Looking for somewhere to moor overnight I think . Just checked the Dukes Head website and looks to be closed Monday and Tuesday Are there any other pubs here ?

Hi me again !! We are in 2 minds about St Olaves or Somerleyton , little worried about the bridge at St Olaves so might chicken out and not go , is it very low ? Which ever we choose do we need to make a reservation to moor overnight and is there a charge please ? thanks Ruth

Vanessan thank you but we started from Chedgrave and going to moor here for night before we are due to go home so going to book or table at the White Horse

Ahhhh don’t be guilty about the blisters Tim I’m as hard as nails Thanks Helian we did Reedham last night , great outdoor entertainment at the Lord Nelson If we get stuck between Reedham and Somerleyton is there another place we can moor up ? We are beginning to realise that every place we pass or sign post we see we want to explore but worried we won’t an get over night mooring ! I have a place booked for food and drinks for my 50th on Thurs at Beccles so was trying to work our itinerary around this but willing to jig this about if need be Also should I be booking a reservation for our mooring in any of these places please ?

Moored at Norwich for the evening. Very helpful guy helped to moor us up :-) Any suggesting for tomorrow please ? We want to aim to be moored up for evening with a pub for tea and evening drinks.

We have walked to the Ship Inn and my poor blisters are not looking forward to the walk back lol Fresh start tomorrow heading to Norwich. What’s that app that gives the distance and tides please ?

We said hi to Fiona for you Tim :-) we eventually moored up at Reedham Ferry after a bit of confusion with our mooring but they were not taking any food orders so pot noodle it is then , not the best start to our first night :-(

Change of plans AGAIN 😩 Not going to Surlingham now so cancelled our booking. We are thinking to go the other way towards Reedham Ferry on the Saturday after we get handover of the boat, so if we get away by 16:30 we hopefully should be arriving at Reedham Ferry is there anywhere here we could book a mooring so we can stay for the night and get some food and drinks ? Really sorry for my constant questions and thanks for everyone patience with me.

We have booked to leave aprox 4pm can anyone recommend the next stop for us to moor overnight please ? We are looking to head towards Norwich. Thanks Ruth

Thanks all. I have emailed and a lady called Lin emailed back very quickly asking for name of boat , arrival and departure times so hopefully that’s booked now Do I need request a table outside if weather is ok ?

Ha,ha love this , can’t wait now got most of our packing done and did the last of our food shop today which mainly consists of food for cooked breakfast , stuff for sandwiches, snacks and not forgetting the booze 😀 I have booked a table for Sunday lunch at the Ferry house Surlingham for 1pm is this a good or bad idea ?
