Good base if you want to be able to cruise all year round - winter icing does occur in the marina basins but not seen on the main river in author's memory. HEATED TOILET/SHOWER BLOCK OPEN ALL YEAR.
Cons: Long term construction work. Unattractive until landscaping work commences.

STALHAM MOORINGS GENERAL INFO
Supermarket, Petrol Station and all other local services a short walk into the village
Special note re winter cruising:-
Stalham's location at the end of the system means river icing along a large stretch can curtail winter cruising more than areas with stronger tidal action / river flow. Planning required in cold conditions due to a strong prospect of not being able to return to berth. Winter icing rarely extends more than a few feet inside the wet shed at Richardsons.
