Hi,
It is so good to see something of this quality and design being built on the Broads, the materials over the years have changed but the craftsmanship remains.

Quite beautiful scenery and the area looks tidy and well looked after.
It looks like a brilliant holiday!

Do you mean the fake ones of the recovery crane falling in the harbour whilst trying to recover the first one?
That is the pictures I was thinking about but I did not realise they were fake (I must admit they were quite unbelievable at the time)

Hi,
Not the one I was thinking about but ouch!

Hi,
I think it was on this forum, there was a series of photographs of recovery cranes that fell in the water, any thoughts of what post they were in?

Hi,
I'm not certain of how you intend to mount the outboard on the tender as you refer to straps. What I do know is petrol outboards have a design height that the G clamp bit mounts on so the prop clears the bottom of the hull and keeps the water cooling inlet in the water. So it might pay to look up details of the outboard you have to find this height.
Then again I might have totally got the wrong end of the stick!

She looks so sleek on the water and it is not even moving!

does this mean that the insurance company's will deem that you have failed to maintain your boat correctly if one of these cheap fittings, fitted from new, fails and sinks your boat?
I think ( and will check later in the week) ISO 9093-2:2002 - Small craft -- Seacocks and through-hull fittings gives the life of a fitting as minimum 5 years, so I suppose now you have raised it the insurance company might say it is a failure of maintenance.

I think I have just been Lakesailored!

Hi,
I found this sometime ago and indicates the problem has been around for a few years as the yacht was 7 years old and the part was fitted from new.

Hi,
We have a cable like the one in the link. Something to be aware of is the sockets are in line so if put a plug in a socket, the cable leaving the plug blocks the next socket down. Since we brought the socket we have spotted units with the sockets at 90 deg so you can fit 3 plugs in with no problems.

Hi,
That must have been quite a stressful day.
But the next move must be back on the water

Drag is a problem but removing the drive leg out of the water helps (the MPG is superb).

Hi,
Having made in my time a million or so Banjo bolts, I know what sort of problems they can have. When you fit a new one check the bores are clean (and the correct number of holes are there) and there is no burr or swarf in the cross holes. Using a new washer each time is very important. Tightening torque is also critical as the cross hole reduces the strength of the bolt and if overtightened will elongate and snap.
I no longer make them as the contract went to Eastern Europe and then somewhere even cheaper

Hi,
We also use Baltic Winners supplied from Suffolk Sailing and find them very comfortable.
Used the Baltics today for the first sail of the season

Hi,
How is the running going?

Hi,
What you have planned looks good, and as has been said take it easy. As to Yarmouth I don't think I would bother as the bit between Stokesby and Yarmouth is quite boring and feels like a long way.
Just enjoy the break.

Hi,
The little box beside the rear seat is that for the beer fridge?

Hi,
You might also want a Humming bird to go with it as well.

Hi,
That looks the business.
Low for the bridges, sleek for the customers and I suspect in many years time, sort after in the second hand market.

It might also be worth looking at the battery terminal connectors in light of the Boat Safety scheme note to section 3.4.1/R.

Hi,
Welcome to the site.
Earlier this year we were looking for a B&B within walking distance of the Broads but found very few, do you have any that will fit this requirement?
