Hi all, I`ve just had a look at Gale riversides website, and they`re advertising good fishing, with some pictures of local catches. I like to take the boats back early to Maffetts on a Friday afternoon and sit there for an evenings fishing, and we`ve had some good catches ourselves. Does anybody else ever fish the upper Chet at the boatyards, and what have you caught?. Regards and a happy new year to all...............Neil. :):):):)

Hi Trevor, first off.........The Norman boat site is excellent, and i often browse through it. Second, it`s a shame it`s happening at Loddon, because i chased off someone doing it at Norwich yeras ago, and it`s only one of the reasons i won`t moor in the city anymore. If you like Loddon, why not ask at the yards if you can overnight moor and fish. If John and Lynda at Maffetts have an empty yard, pull in late afternoon for a pumpout or something and tell them you like it there and ask very politely if you can moor for the night?. Nothing ventured-nothing gained and all that. Or you could always pull up at the public moorings below the yards and take a short walk up-stream to the meadow opposite the yards. Regards and a happy new year to all.....................Neil. ;););)Fish2
