Please find attached ABP Notice to mariners No. 09 of 2019 regarding a Bathymetric Survey taking place in Lake Lothing from tomorrow.

NOTICE TO MARINERS 
 
LOWESTOFT  - FOR SURVEY OPERATIONS IN LAKE LOTHING 
 
 
Mariners and Port Users are advised that hydrographic survey operations will be taking place in Lake Lothing on Wednesday 10th April 2019 until Thursday 11th April 2019. These will be conducted using a remote controlled surface vessel (photo below), operated by ‘Survey Solutions’.  The craft will be remotely controlled from the quayside. The survey area will extend across the river from North quay 5 and Kirkley Ham (shown on below chart extract). The survey will only be undertaken in daylight hours and will be subject to favourable weather conditions.  The remote craft will be launched from Silo quay steps. A shore side team operating the craft will be monitoring VHF Ch14 during the survey and all river traffic will be given priority. Updated information, the survey continues today & tomorrow.

Dear All,

The Bathymetric survey referenced in ABP NTM No.9 2019 is expected to continue, this Notice has been re-issued as the attached NTM No.09a to reflect the additional dates.

Mariners and Port Users are advised that continued hydrographic survey operations
will be taking place in Lake Lothing on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th April. These will
be conducted using a remote controlled surface vessel (photo below), operated by
‘Survey Solutions’. The craft will be remotely controlled from the quayside. The survey
area will extend across the river from North quay 5 and Kirkley Ham (shown on below
chart extract). The survey will only be undertaken in daylight hours and will be subject to
