Guest C4RIS
Hi all Tommorow im going away for a week in Chedgrave and im staying just 50 yards away from free fishing on the chet! I have never been here before and dont know what to expect My questions are: * What Species of course fish do i expect to find? *What Tackle/ Tactics should i be using (e.g. Pole, feeder, Trotting etc) * Are there any local tackle shops near tyo Chedgrave and Loddon? * Are there any particular baits that work well on the river? Thansk very much Chris
DaveS
Hi Chris I find that most times, sweetcorn or bread produces some quailty Roach and Bream, pretty much anywhere on the Broads. Unless you don't mind be hassled by Eels, don't use worm or maggot. Tight Lines Dave
Guest DAYTONA-BILL
Why not check out Gale riversides website?, they`ve got some good piccies of local catch. I can remember the days when fishing on the Chet was actually pretty poor, and not really recommended, but nowdays the Chet offers up some surprisingly good sport., We caught some good Roach while moored at Maffett cruisers yard one year, and the fishing was so good, we did`nt want to stop for dinner at the pub.
