Boat hire for very short breaks

We are a group of 5 who have enjoyed visiting the broads for the past 15 years but due to family and work demands the time we get to do this now seems to reduce every year. This year we can only mange 2 or 3 nights starting on a Wednesday or Thursday, mid May, but cant seem to find any hire company that will do this for us. We manged to hire a boat last year but booked up a couple of days before we went. Ideally we dont want to chance it this time and book somthing in advance. Can anyone help?
