Antares_9
The below might be useful for you, me? I'm getting out for our own less frought affair. "I am writing to advise you that central London will be very busy throughout the Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend. If you intend to be in central London please use public transport, plan your journey to and from London in advance and check before you travel. Tube stations in central London and those along the river will be busier than usual. There will be a number of bus diversions and curtailments. Drivers are advised to avoid central London between 3 and 5 June. Sunday 3 June will be particularly busy due to a number of road and bridge closures. Seven London bridges will be closed to both road users and pedestrians for most of the day as well as four London bridges for up to an hour during the afternoon. There will be no River services on Sunday 3 June from 1430 until 1800 between Battersea Bridge and the Thames Barrier at Woolwich. There will be a full service on the Tube and DLR. There will be no access to Buckingham Palace from Green Park station on Monday; you are advised to use Westminster or St James’s Park stations. Due to Network Rail engineering work on London Overground, there is no service on Sunday and Monday between Richmond and Willesden Junction; there is also no service on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday between South Tottenham and Barking. Replacement buses will be in operation. A number of Barclays Cycle Hire docking stations will not be available at certain times.
