Short notice but Somerleyton Bridge not operable until 10.00am

Somerleyton Swing Bridge

Network Rail inform us that due to a member of staff being involved in a road traffic accident on the way to work this morning, they are not able to staff Somerleyton Swing Bridge until 10:00hrs this morning.

Further to my last message the Somerleyton Bridge will be out of order unable to open after 10.00pm tonight until 06.00am in the morning. I can't see anyone wanting to go through the bridge during these times however.

Somerleyton Swing Bridge

We have just been informed that due to staff sickness, Network Rail will be closing Somerleyton Swing Bridge 22:00 pm Wednesday 16 April until 06:00 – Thursday 17 April 2014. During this period the bridge will not be able to swing but vessels normally able to pass through when the bridge is closed will still have access.
