  1. Nah am not slumming it really lol. Just felt like a change and avoid the Broads version of the M25 at take over. Panic not Mr Richo sir I shall return! As for the windows....err yes.

Siddy bring a Cordless Jigsaw you may need it! Oh sorry, Mr Richo is trying to get an offer off a well known Double Glazing Co. He may have to climb a Mountain though to get a good price ! :naughty: Seriously, as I said, lovely boat, and my type these days, all on one level!

  2. Just me Siddy, am enjoying this new freedom of retirement and have always loved a laugh. Being a ex foreman you had too! lol Have a great holi on that cruiser am jelous lol

I have 76 days till I am back on the Broads. But am slumming it on a boat from Herbert Woods !

    Regards,

    Iain.

  3. Hi Frank,

I have one close to my boiler, it was replaced over a year ago as it starts bleeping once the batteries are getting flat. Last approx 3 years.

I do agree with you that all detectors have improved over the years. They are not that expensive either. You can't put a price on safety.

  4. I ran 4 meets from a AOL chat room several years ago. Had folks from as far as the USA attend. I agree with the "Admiral" if you listened to all the suggestions etc you would get nowhere fast!

Do it the way you see fit and I am sure all will be a success. Best of luck.

  5. I am sure I remember those steel hulled Braydon Marines boats in the 80's moored well up the River Ant. As for the Chet .....Errrr NO not recommended even after all the dredging!

I am sure you will enjoy the cruise up the Ant though, so much to see up there.

  6. This will be my 38th year coming to the place I call heaven! I am in excess of 400 miles away but knows the drive is well worth it! I agree about all forums, but myself personally now that I am now officialy retired and a ex tradesman, still loves a laugh or forty five in all of them! :naughty:
