  1. Plan Z. ... you could always get Tracy to do her signature dish Janice.... yep you guessed steak and kidney pie with oven chips.

    Lovely, however

    My comments in another thread

We are coming up early Friday, going to Salhouse for an evening of celebration and then the next day off somewhere to have a BBQ, Steve normally sorts out the location so no idea at the moment where we will end up lol.

On Sunday we will most likely be suffering from food poisoning as I am organising the food and Steve and Mike cooking it lol.

  2. Those were the days, shame its not like that now.  I wonder why the boats who say they are too small to have pump loos can thave the porta loos, I looked them up on Ebay and they can be quite small and quite cheap?

  3. Where will you be, Jan? We're at WRC Thursday and OBYS over the weekend.

    Hi

  4. Hi all.. watch out for the birthday boy Mike on Friday 18th.... it will be his 50th and is planning a birthday cruise from Potter to Salhouse around lunch time and overnighting at Salhouse.

His boat is called Lady Lindar 103D and is a blue and white Alpha 26 ......it will be coverd both inside and out in the usual birthday balloons and banners and anything else i can stick on it much to his dismay but serves him right for trusting me with his spare keys.

Oh My Goodness, you naughty boy :norty: .

Mike will be so suprised :shocked , best birthday he has ever had I should think :clap

Here's waving back at you all in readyness :wave

  5. How exciting picking up your new boat, enjoy.

We visited the Fur and Feathers a couple of weeks ago at Salhouse. It's a good old walk up hill to the pub 20 mins at a gentle pace through the woods and then along a country road but we thought it was worth it, take a torch if you go in the evening as it's very dark. Mike likes trying different ales and they have a good selection there. The food was a bit on the pricy side, in my opinion, but nice. The moorings are limited and so you could be unlucky during busy seasons.

We hope to go there this Friday for Mikes 50th but are worried we won't get moored as it's Good Friday and it's the school holidays. It will be a nightmare if we can't moor, I've already booked the table, keep your fingers crossed for us .

We like the pub at Acle too, have never been disappointed the food and service has always been good.

  6. The Outhill ones are very good but pricey.  I searched everywhere for locker seats for Liberty; had them made eventually and they worked out cheaper.

I did end up buying a helm seat from Outhill and the quality is very, very good.

Oooh thats nice, I want one of those :bow

  7. Have you thought of making it out of wood and then doing the fibre glass on that, it certainly would be cheaper.

Good idea but think we will hang out for the fibreglass box. Mikes not really into wood making and it may turn out looking like modern art rather than a box, if you know what I mean lol

  8. We have just ordered one of these off of Ebay £8.99, £3.99 postage. It folds up into a case looking thing and then slips into a cool bag.post-29067-0-87493000-1397417965_thumb.j. The URL is http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281282857627?var=580328698019&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2648

We got a bargain today at Millets, two fold up chairs £10 each, deal was buy one get one half price so got £5 off and then they also had 20% off so in the end we got the pair for £12 (£6 each!) result!

Folds up nice too. The 20% off at Millets, is also available on the web but their web system does not let you get the buy one get one half price and also get the 20% off but the man in the shop did it? Must have liked us lol.

THE MILLETS 20% OFF FINISHES TODAY.

  9. What about a cool box, dual purpose and much cheaper if you don't tell them it's going on a boat.

It's funny, I did think about a cool box and you can get 12volt ones which would be handy.

The ones on the link, burn burn, how can they charge that much OMG. Still at least they are out there, just got to find a place where they price is not too steep.

Maybe will have to admit we won't be able to get what we want within our pocket range.

  10. Jan hi, on a techy note, see am off topic...again :naughty:  I notice your smilies dont work. Do you have the latest abode reader 11? That may be the reason you aint showing them. butcher too. :clap

  11. I absolutely hate to do this but... Tesco website says the store in Stalham is open from 08:00 to 22:00 on Good Friday. So, if all else fails...!!!!

I think the Ludham butcher's telephone number is 01962 678226, but I picked that up from Google so it might be wrong!

Yes, I suppose as a very last resort there is always the large supermarkets, that will be plan C or D lol.

The sausages from the Ludham Butcher, they are delicious
