I wish I had of gone beyond the yacht station with my original boat which had an air draft of 6 foot 6, the new boat is 7 foot 6 So may be a problem, and I never realised there were Moorings up there I thought you just went up turn round and came back.
We used to take our Birchwood 22 up there, from memory she was 7ft 10

There were indeed more coots, and moorhens too, which are now worryingly absent. But then the nice cuddly, playful otter was extinct on the Broads in those days.
In one Vaughan, having seen and heard, a otter take a young swan ( not a signet) last summer, moorhens and coots stand no chance

If you start a list I'm sure once every one has their input we could make it a handy guide

Nothing at Bramerton now Charlie. Ranworth also has facilities. Can this list be permanently posted somewhere (with editing capability of course!) or is there one already?
I copied it from the bin thread, It was up to date 21st Feb 2016 as it says on the top of my post

Are these the only rubbish disposal sites available to private boaters:
Southern Broads:
Beccles Yacht Station
Somerleyton
Loddon Staithe
Bramerton (Broads Authority moorings)
Rockland Staithe
Oulton Yacht Station
Northern Broads:
Irstead Staithe
Neatishead
Hoveton (Wroxham) (Broads Authority moorings between road and railway bridges)
This is the most up to date I can find

The reason being Meg, that those marigolds no matter how pretty they look on your hands, will do any fish harm, in future please use bare hands wet preferably, never rags or marigolds.
