[tips on crossing breydon]

We to had a problem going over breydon a  couple of years ago we had a problem with our outboard on our old boat,therefore leaving a little later.We arrived at breydon in slight cloud with no hint of rough weather,however when we started to cross it became very rough i went over full speed,Marina first mate looked very white and holding on tight.Once crossed we made for oulton after mooring up Marina kissed the grould.Having said that crossing is nearly always fun but must be treated with respect.

We Have top and bottom sheets, duvets ,when its cold hot water bottle,this year we have outside window covers made by creative covers late of eastwood now at catfield very very good and not to costly.

Yes they do food breakfast not sure about lunch don't think they do dinner,they are great,but the shop is and has been up for sale for over a year.The tapas bar is on the market .So sooner or later will be sold.

 

I agree it is a good stopping off moorings,I think it would bee even better if it was a good pub

We went to the tapas bar last year early evening very few people there,not very impressed with the food.I think the future for this pub can work,landscape the grassed area between the pub and the moorings,a good play area for the kids.

 

Don't  go over the top,just a good pub selling good beers and food.Some pubs offer free soft drinks to car drivers.

 

I hope someone takes on the pub and i wish them well

Does anyone know if the tapas bar has been sold yet at stracey? what is needed i would suggest is a good pub with good old pub food . Making the most of the moorings and gaining trade from passing traffic on the road

many thanks one and all,yes it is a full time job with Alan. Can any one help with the following.Marina on my behalf asked for info on the pubs along the broads.

 

More to the point I am interested in the history of the many pubs,what perhaps started this interest was the locks which i visited many moons ago.I would like to find out about some of the people who worked,customers etc,hopefully to build a picture of the pubs and people in them.Any help most welcome thanks Ian
