Hello Lynsey,
Don't get too eager, within the next few days a message will be placed in the full members section asking for a proposer and seconder for you to be a full member, assuming no objections are received, you will become a full member in a little over a weeks time, plenty of time to gain more posts and prepare yourself for Poppy's prize winning bad jokes.
Regards
Alan
Oh it's all very official isn't it lol
So who would propose me and who would second me????????? and who might object me lol oh dear this might shatter my dreams.
Anyhow, as long as I don't have to kiss bums of any description all will be cool

Really sad to see The Berney in such a state. Like many others on here I have memories of glorious times sitting outside with my dad, with a real beer shandy and a packet of crisps waiting for the tides. I remember the times we moored there overnight, lying in bed hearing the lapping of the water when it was rough and the Boat moving all over the place, loved it
I would hate to see it become anything other than a pub, but do understand about the location and that it obviously can't survive on boat traffic alone.

p.s Lynsey, you are nearly up to your 50 posts and you know what that means, don't you?
Very close to it, eeeeek I may need one or two more lol

I watched this and thought it was ok, a little harsh with the editing making it really short at only 30 minutes so you didn't really see much. Interesting views about the area of St Bennets though I couldn't really work out the other buildings they thought they had found, at least time team give you a mock up animated pic on the site so you had an idea

Edit edit edit, read your posts Lynsey before submitting grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Very sad to hear about this place, we always made a point in stopping for a pint or 2, the meals used to be amazing, this was only 3 and a half years ago too.
We used to make the trip across Breydon just to stop there, loved the atmosphere inside, the stories those old walls could tell, sends the imagination wild.
I remember watching a BBC drama a while back called Jamaica Inn set in Cornwall I think about smugglers on the coast, the Berney reminds me of somewhere like that back in the day lol

NO really? are people serious? we have loads of kids round where we live that are causing damage to our cars, we are moving, we are not going to the local council to get a "No ball games" sign on the road or anything, it's us with the problem so we are leaving.
A bit of area research I think would have helped with that Pauline but y'know lol
