I love cheddar from the genuine area around cheddar, I used to go and get some along with a gallon of the local scrumpy. a loaf of bread, it was a great addition to a weekend out walking and an improvement on compo ration packs.

Oh come on if you're not going to use Whisky from Scotland at least on here it should be from Norfolk.

I knew of someone who always got on board Saudia flights at Heathrow /Gatwick with lots of oranges....
All injected with vodka!!! (Saudia is a Dry Airline)
Your ex corporal was very lucky to get away wiih it is not uncommon to customs to open anything or take anything they feel like!!
Westerners are forbidden from entering central Madinah / Medina on religious grounds, and generally discouraged from Madinah at all, I was on a plane diverted to Madinah and we had to keep the blinds down so the locals couldn't see us.
This would probably explain your unfriendly reception.

I received the same scam but quickly realized in was a scam because...
The big clue to it being a scam is it claimed to be from Ebay claiming a problem with the money, Ebay sold PAYPAL some time ago, so Ebay would not have anything to do with rectifying Paypal Account problems.

My Grandfather and some of my Great Uncles / Uncles from the family served in ww2 ( And others WW1). I have my grandfathers records and they are difficult to read and decipher. But without those I knew anyway he was at Dunkirk coming off the beaches on the 29th May 1940. also he was in the Siege of Tobruk as RSM of the 7th Royal Tank Regiment. He survived the war as a POW but sadly he died 1956 the year before I was born.
I lowered the flags at 11am on Remembrance Sunday at Snowflake Sailing Club, with the rest of the club in attendance as we do every year. Sailing being postponed till after the Silence.

I found by far the easiest way to renew your driving licence is to go to a Post office, which has the photo equipment (Castle Mall Post Office in Norwich).
Walk in, by pass the queues for the normal tills, go round the far left present your renewal form, the person behind the counter tells you to look into the camera, he adjusts height, light, focus. click, pay your money, a week later a licence appears in the post, for not much more than going to a photo booth+ licence and hoping the machine does a photo that they'll accept.
if you've forgotten your renewal reminder, they can still do it but you will need the other documentation requested on the reminder
The post office web site will tell you where your nearest photo post office is.

And you can't drive a train over it either...
The only bridge that satisfies both criterias in the UK must be the Menai Straits bridge
Britannia Bridge (Welsh: Pont Britannia) is a bridge across the Menai Straitbetween the island of Anglesey and the mainland of Wales. It was originally designed and built by Robert Stephenson as a tubular bridge of wrought iron rectangular box-section spans for carrying rail traffic. Following a fire in 1970 it was rebuilt as a two-tier steel truss arch bridge, carrying both road and rail traffic.
The high level bridge in Newcastle is a road and Rail Bridge
And a bridge many have crossed over on the A17 Sutton Bridge was a road rail bridge

Hi Q,
It's funny but Highland Park is one of the blends that you can get here, if you're lucky. A 750 ml bottle will cost around 150 pounds.
Blend? BLEND? Blend? I'll have you know Highland park is a single Malt!!!!
Although some of my trainees out there offered to bring me whisky, I never took the risk, plus I wouldn't pay that sort of money. Anyway In the weather out there I prefer a longer drink. Funny how in some supermarkets sugar, fruit juices, and yeast are next to each other!!! Cider anybody?

I've come across several people who share my interests online, one that stands out is a guy who is a sailmaker and posts on some boat forums, I was most surprised to find him and his wife on the kilt forum. and after other discussions I discovered he has a model railway and interested in Landrovers only the internet could bring us together in our interests because he lives in America!

Interesting sir, I am on a few forums, certainly the comedy one, and I was on a film one years ago, As for engines, I am on a forum for those who run diesel engines on either Veg oil or Biodiesel (which I make) and I used to be on two fishing forums. I am on a Jaguar owners forum on my sisters behalf and a Landrover owners forum for myself. Finally I'm on an IT support forum (as a customer not an advisor).
It would seem we have many interests in common, and now I'm wondering what names you use on these other forums. I can think of two possibilities for the vegoil forum but am clueless on the others. (My normal state)
As Timbo knows, I am writing a book, which is why I'm in the comedy forum, but am suffering a writers block to end all blocks. still, slowly does it!
There are quite a few sites I lurk but don't take part I because I'm no expert in that field but have observed the answers I want. For instance I run my Landrover 110 on Vegoil. But mostly I'm on RMweb, Landyzone, Xmarksthescot and the various Broads forums. Most of The other sites are casual look throughs but your name stands out!!!

As at 12.:45 04/11/15 I observed it was working @ Horning when the fisherman in the picture finally moved.
One problem in the winter is that the Horning has finished sailing from the end of October, so he who knows how it works possibly would only come down for the social functions or committee meetings or working parties ( or any combination of them).
He also has a full time job and as we are a self help club all tasks are done by volunteers when and if they can. The only paid staff is a cleaner once or twice a week.

I don't know about him being on Oulton broad I keep finding him on several other web sites!!
Comedy, films, Engines, fishing, etc (I don't know if it's the same one but it is the same name!

That depends on the price of deck shoes, I've never paid over 30 pounds and couldn't afford too.

The BA I'm sure would happily continue to maintain the boardwalk and paths at no cost to the landowner if the landowner were willing to continue the lease arrangement at a reasonable price. The problem here (as at some other sites) is greedy individuals and groups trying to extort higher sums from the BA. The BA, quite rightly, are refusing these demands.
You are making huge assumptions about the price BA pay and what Landowners ask, I have a feeling the close down of the board walk has more to do with cutting costs at The BA than increased demands for Money from private owners.

May I point out that
The melody started leaving music in the 60s and those responsible are now OAPs,
The teachers who were in charge of education in the 70s are for the most part now OAPS, and most of the things listed were done my those who are now OAPS
-
What one forgets is that the maintenance of the board walk track and paths would fall on the land owner, for no benefit to him / herself. They also become liable if someone sues should someone trip or fall while one their land who would pay for all the insurance to cover For this?
Finally wasn't Cockshoot broad temporariily closed to navigation BY BA, for some reason, if they've handed it back shouldn't it be reopened?
Should it have been reopened by now anyway?

I spent many holidays as a child down at Weymouth which I liked along with much of the south coast from Southampton through to Lyme Regis. I suppose the nearest down that way to the broads would be Pool harbour 14 square miles of water but much of it is shallower than the broads. You could trundle around the harbour and up a bit of the four rivers. But I think I'll stick to the broads much cheaper and more interesting
