  1. Hello Boaters

I paid my toll at the NBA in Norwich, the nice Lady handed a receipt to me.

She told this year there will be no plaques, I should put the recipe in a drawer on board to show it on request.

So however it will be controlled, doesn't matter to me, I am a legal boater that counts.

  2. Hi Folks,

Now we are in a working network and hopefully being more up to date.

The first trip brought us to Wroxham on the way to Wroxham we did some boat handling training

Which was really helpful as we found no mooring available. So turned around, at this stage we decided

Not to pass the bridge, as it is nicer owning a boat instead of owning a wreck.

The way back we trained some more, because the mooring at herbert woods is for a beginner some kind of a challenge.

Long boat, not much room and mooring stern on , the only way to do it, is going backwards, obviously and make a 90 degree turn.

The boat is perfectly equipped, Google size fridge, homestandard oven, grill and cooker. My wife loves the heating, for me it's too much

A big bed and also a big shower/ bath makes living really comfortable.

After a good sleep and a walk with the dog we headed down to Brundall to see Brand Wards, nice little shop and well prepared for boating

Newcomer. Days later I got aware that I haven't seen some boaters. Sorry for that, but I am old can't see good and as long nobody throws

Some whisky bottles after me I need a biiiig shout.

After misbehaving in Brundall we went down to Norwich, to pay the river toll. In Norwich we did some shopping and had a nice mooting

Oposit the park. The NBA was also really nice and helpful and after 548,36 £ I went shopping spending more money.

But my full mental strength was needed when I bought a 50gr package of tobacco   ..... 19 £ something.wow this I call expensive

    Btw in Germany I pay 5,60 €.

Next day we wanted to go back to Brundall to buy the forgotten things but the fate had different plans.

After 10 minit's driving e got to learn the dog over board maneuver, one of our dogs slipped and followed the gravity. We managed to get him back on board and planned than a nice walk with the dogs.

We found a suitable mooring place, moored, stopped the engine as I heard a dripping sound.

After a short search I found a welding of the calorific has a crack, bad news.

So checking the cruising time table and the tide table, great Yarmouth bridge clearance we need to know, lower the windscreen and roof or not.

Adjusting according the tables we managed to arrive potter heigham at about 5,30 pm.

    What a busy day.

More coming when again on the water and connected to the internet.

  5. It isn't such a big deal with the both systems, since 40 years now i ahve to use both, due to the fact that all aircraft related measurement are given in imperial - plus some extras like inch HG ,   inH2O .

The only disadvantage for you guys is like the sheet of ply.. the dealer making some extra money.

Keep your imperial system, in Germany which is metric, but to buy a waterhose or the tubes for water inside the houses the diameter is still in inch measured, but the lenght in metre. All strong logical.

The problem is - we are all playing an experiment to see what happens.

But why they do it this way.. they risk damage to the wildlive, upset people and so on.

Leaving the bins check how much rubbish/waste has to be removed and than decide.. no risk and you get perfect figures and numbers to deal with.

Now we all pay for the removal.. may be less visitors in the future and than, i am pretty sure the reinstallation.

And we are not talking about extra time, fuel just to get the houshold waste as commercial waiste disposed.

Broom should construct a smell proof waste dinghy cheersbar

it is suggested that the local rangers monitor the sites after the bins are removed to determine whether any future facilities are likely to be required.

Lol.. what kind of guys are sitting there.. was the bins used in the past so they are needed...what kind of a administrative joke.

If i am getting it right.. for the fault buying a boat instead of hiring it i have to seach for the next bin.. and eventually i have to pay for it, which would come on top of the toll.

Thanks for the contact info.. the y will get a mail.

I am not against business or making money, raising tolls if the rest is nice and easy.

I think the Guys hanging around and producing that kind of rubbish are overpaid. May be there infiltrated by Germans now :-).

as the most of you know i just bought a Boat to cruise the Broads.

Is that a serious talking.. dropping the waste bins ????

I want to come to the broads to relax and not living and cruising throug the rubbish.

I did spend a serious amount of money to spent my time on the broads, have somebody a contact info ? May be when they here the concerns from a outsider will keep some extra pressure on it.

  10. Hi Boater,

2 Weeks ago I bought this Torch http://www.heise.de/preisvergleich/eu/zweibrueder-led-lenser-p7r-taschenlampe-9408-r-a1357934.html?hloc=at&hloc=de

Its just amazing set on full It is really light and not on just one Spot.

It comes with a mounting bracket and a charging cable for USB, wich makes it really handy on Board.

So far i Tested it on full Power 1000 lumen, yes 1000, it works good for about 3.5 houres. plenty of time for searching the eyelens..

On half power i didnt know exactly after more than 1 day still light on.

If you see it test it :River Police
