  1. Thank you for an absolutely great 10 day series of your adventures on the rivers. I have enjoyed every one immensely. Great ending hah what happened? Did you run out of battery or were you to quick on the end editing? I know you have some other downloads to do, so I'll look forward to them. As I said before, best wishes for your dad. Hope you and sheila are well, and whenever your in the rivers again I shall look forward to your next boat hire and the start of another adventure. Take care as ever. And in your words, ( More as it happens ) or in this case, When it happens. Speak soon. Bye for now.

  4. Hi Robin. I found this day 8 episode absolutely fine. It's nice to have a variety of different videos by you. Loved your ranting, made me smile. I never new that you can moor in other hire yards, I found that quite interesting. I've just returned this week from a week on the rivers and am happy to say I am on the rivers again Sept 13th for a week. Will you be around then too? Am looking forward to day 9. Hope you and Shiela are well. Take care and I'll be in touch soon.

  9. Hi. I'm getting a day boat from The Waveneye river centre.. collect boat at 10am sat 23rd then will make way to OYS will need to get boat back by 5pm. I have spoken to James at the WRC to ask if I can increase the hours and bring it back later but he said no so unless anyone can persuade him, I'll have to leave about 4pm to get the boat back.
  10. Hi all. I'm planning to be their just for the sat, what are the times it starts and ends on the sat as I have to get my boat back by 5pm. Can someone enlighten me please. Cheers. Andy ( BOATYMAN )
  11. The only reason you I ask, is i want to come to the summer meet, but I want to arrive on a boat. I could hire from Horizon craft at Acle on the Friday and get it Friday eve. Slack water is okay on sat but I'll need to come back on the Sunday after our meeting in the eve some time but if I read correct slack water isn't till around 9pm that's to late and dark which is why I ask if it would be okay to cross Breydon other than slack water.
  12. If u have a boat with a 6'6 air draft, can you then cross Breydon waters at any time as apposed to Waiting for Slack water?
  13. Hi Griff Well I am hoping to get on the Broads more often, may b the Rascal might choose me to help him on BA haha. I have been on the Broads many times, just sometimes the pricing of the hire companies is very expensive, butI'll just have to work harder I expect haha. Anyway Griff, enjoy your tiling, I'm wanting to get on the Broads for the NBN meeting in July, Will you and the Rascal be attending? Think it's a Oulton yaught station.
  14. No Griff, I don't remember the Big Blue Fender. If I see you when I'm there in August I'll say hi. You can't forget a name like Boatyman. I tried other names but apparently they were all taken so in a funny frustrating way I just put this name in and it was accepted, so I thought I'll keep it. I understand you have the Rascal joining you this afternoon till Monday. I hope to meet him and yourself as I have watched all his adventures on the water including on BA. Say hi to him and have great weekend. Wish I was there, I miss the Broads so much. I absolutely love it. I'll keep in touch if you don't mind, and please message me whenever. Take care Griff. Boatyman AKA Andy.
  15. Haha I know. I've seen Broad Ambition b4 when I've been on the Broads. I'm there from August 1st, I'm trying to get there on June 10th for 2 nights with my partner and our dog. Just trying to find if I can hire a cruiser at a reasonable price as most of the main companies charge ridiculous amounts just for 2 nights.
  16. Ahhhh the good ol boat review, where would the Captains Blog be without the boat review. I will look forward to it. Thanks for getting in touch Robin. When r u know the waterways again? if you don't mind me asking
  17. Thank you. I will try and see if they do, and hopefully meet you if your going at the summer meet
  18. Hi all. I want to get on the water for 2 nights from Friday June 10th till Sunday 12th. Hiring from the main companies is soooooooooo expensive just 4 the 2 days or should I say 2 nights. Has any or does anyone one know of anyone who hires boats at a reasonable price for 2 nights? It for myself, my partner, and a small dog if that's okay. . Any ideas?
  19. Hi everyone. I am new to this site and thank you to all who have welcomed me. However I am not new to the Broads. I have been coming to the Broads for some years now starting when invasion a kid when my parents took me on holiday a few times and I fell in love at a very early age. I now love the Broads so much, I just wish I could get on the water more often. I live in Hertfordshire it's about a 2 hour drive to Wroxham, but I really don't care, the thought of getting in the water just thrills me. I am booked for a week August 1st on Ivory Emblem. Would love to meet up in July but the cost just for 2 days is a lot to hire so not sure what I shall do. I am a huge fan of Robin AKA THE London Rascal and watch every blog he does, and would be great to meet him some time on the water. Well that's a small bit about me, please message me with any questions Enjoy the waterways. Mr Boatyman (Andy)
