I remember the Nunn name from around Wroxham growing up, but can't place a boatbuilder by that name.

Do you know any more about them? I've always been puzzled about a connection between Wroxham and Waldringfield on the Deben. I now wonder if Richard Nunn might have had a connection to Nunn Brothers,

I don't know a huge amount but looking at the literature Jones have in their archives, they were based in Ashmanhaugh.(loads of stuff about other makes/models too, in case you hadn't seen it before).

I think my Hampton Safari may also have been a Richard Nunn fitout for Geo. Smith, as I think their name is on some of cushions.

Weren't a substantial number of Oceans built by people other than Brooms though?

My parents owned two, one was fitted out by Richard Nunn of Wroxham(sold through LH Jones st Ives) and the other was a Moonraker 30 (JCL?)both good quality boats but deffo not Brooms. I've not personally seen any reference to Ocean 30 ever being an official Broom(we looked)but I guess the Broom Ocean 37 having somewhat similar lines to the 30 may have fuelled the confusion.

As far as I recall these moorings are not BA but belong to others.

They belong to the Thurne Bungalows Management Co if I remember correctly

I think I've seen that (all in white?), but I'm not absolutely convinced at the accuracy of the info. It looks like Boatshed might have just taken the data from the broads.org.uk database.

I'm fairly sure I can remember her being built and the year seems about right - but Bounty were churning out bathtubs around that time and I can't recall seeing another boat with that odd stepped deck (other than the smaller Freeman 32, which might have inspired it). There was a centre cockpit Bounty 35, but it was earlier and built on a Bourne 35 hull.

I don't think it's a case tht Summercraft cut the lower section away, as the freeboard seems too high at the front.

It's the shape of the stern that makes me think she is a Bounty hull, very squared off and slab sided to my eye, much like the Melodys are, happy to be proven wrong though.

I have a blu Ray player that can link to the Internet. Its default value is hard wired. To change that to wireless,  it needs to be linked to the Internet. My mifi cannot be wired to the disc player so I need a mifi that has hard wire avaliable... if that makes sense

I have the Huawei  unit with the antenna sockets, did you know if you plug it into a laptop it supplies a connection without using WiFi  whilst also charging.

So could the mifi be plugged into the BluRay player via a USB connection and give it an internet connection? (assuming it has usb of course)

I need a mifi box that can hard wire things into it (Blu Ray player) and I would like an external aerial to improve reception.

In case you(or anyone reading this) weren't aware some of the Huawei MiFi units have sockets to connect an external antenna to them, under a little cover next to the charge socket(see pic).

  9. Wayford Marine, Marine Tech, Rowan Craft and StayGB have websites of their own with boat sales sections, Sutton Staithe use ApolloDuck(search Sutton Staithe in AD website.).

Topsail are similar to Boatshed but on a much smaller scale mainly doing sailing boats but do list cruisers as well.

Ebay & Gumtree sometimes have a few Broadsy boats available(an ex Aston/Freedom cruiser is currently on Ebay for example.)

If I remember any more I'll add them later.

  10. Hope this is ok to post here.

My parents have decided to sell their 8% share in Evening Shadow. For those who don't know she is an Aquafibre Pearl 38, moored at Horning Pleasure Craft, managed by BCBM.

3 weeks allocation are left for this year, one in October and 2 in November with(I'm told)decent weeks allocated next year.

    Priced at £4250

Please call Kathy on PM for full details.

    Thank you.
