  1. We restored a Norman 20 many  years ago and found her a gtreat little boat for us at that time.Did all the jobs you seem to have to do,with the addition of extending the hatch to provide space over the cooker which was worth while as we had seen this on later models.had many good times with her on the Great Ouse before moving on to a Freeman.Keep posting your progress as I will be interested.Best of luck.  .Roy

  2. Good on you Robin,my lessons were in a split screen Morris Minor, 12 shillings and 6 pennies ( 62 and half new pence ) in 1958 ,but was a chunk out of £2 07 pence apprentice wage in that time ! On the test I skidded on wet leaves and managed to avoid hitting anything so was pleased to hear I had passed.!  The motor cycle test in 1958 consisted of being sent off round the block and being " Observed. " ,the examiner would jump out somewhere on the route and you would do an emegancy stop !  once passed you could drive any bike even a three wheeler car with no reverse ,never did understand that one ? Good luck !

  3. Alan (Boycee ) summed up the send off for Hank completely and it was a pleasure to join Sue and her family together with many of those who had been involved in the good times when boating bought us together with Sue and Hank in the past..cheers

  5. Having a boat with a well front and aft I would be worried about people (  many boats now can accommodate six plus ) who maybe having had a drink or two negotiating the gaps with ropes and deck gear in the pitch dark ! I wonder what the insurance position would be if someone fell in the well and badly injured themselves ?

  6. Just seen on Sues Facebook ,that she is home now .She says she will arrange a memorial service here in Norfolk sometime after the funeral in Coventry.Sad times for them all.
