  1. We have stayed there occasionally at the weekend. It can be noisy and Friday and Saturday nights loud voices are heard as they walk along the path. I now prefer to visit during the day and then travel back down river to moor for the night. It is a lot quieter during weekdays. As Alan mentions there are rings on the posts so I always tie back on the boat. I also attach the other sides lines and drop mud weight. Back in the 80’s we witnessed a boat drifting down river whilst other boaters tried to wake them up. They had not put down the mud weigh as recommended by the ranger. They eventually appeared looking rather sleepy and threw a line across. Lovely city to visit.

  2. MoD are everywhere :) I am sure one will be along if needed. Meanwhile my view is please play nicely and be considerate. The MoDs have the option to put posters on Preauthorisation should they wish. Thank you all for showing restraint.

  3. Ian. When I made my post it was not an unnamed I had actually see the video. May I suggest if you have not done so already that you make representation to your MP or another constructive form of protest. Whilst we all find it extremely interesting and are very sympathetic to your problem, repeating your issue on the forum is highly unlikely to help your issue.

  4. After reading all of this I am too tired to go out face mask or not. What the doctor proved that when he had the mask on his oxygen level did not lower at all. Is that the same for someone with a lung problem, I do not know. You could carry the evidence across and say it should not. Depends if the doctor actually used additional capacity/effort to maintain his levels or maintained for the same level of work.

we are left wondering. I have been wearing a mask for a lonG time whEN shopping as I am in a medium risk category. I always steer clear of those that do not.

  5. I think she is 6ft 3inches on clearance. We managed to get abOve Potter Heigham  bridge with her. We traveled all around the north in the week we had her, even Andy was surprised by how little fuel we had used. Go with tide and don’t rag her.

  6. 5 minutes ago, Vaughan said:

    Different pub - same owner.

A report on the EDP website this morning says that an application to re-open the Berney Arms as a cafe and bistro has received strong objections from the BA, because of the tidal current and because its "remoteness would limit immediate access for emergency vehicles" and from the RSPB, because it would frighten their birds on Breydon.

When was that pub built?  Must be 100 years ago, surely?

They were all rufty tufties then Vaughan, no Elf and Safety.
