Hi Ray & Rene
Good to see you posting on here. Once again I'll have to learn a whole new vocabulary just to try to keep up and mKe sense of everything

Clive
Your team did a great job. Just as you would have of expected
Such a team doesn't happen by accident. Good luck to you all for this coming season.
As to delivery of a private owners model, I expect that'll be a few seasons away yet before you have a free build slot - such will be the popularity of "The Commodore" class.
Once again - Good Luck - and well done to you all!

Stunning looking cruiser Clive. Congrats to everyone at Richardsons for bringing her (commodore is that a him then?) in on time for the first customer to take on hire. No doubt some midnight oil got burnt in the process! When can we order one for private use?
Kind regards

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all NBN members, both longstanding and recently signed up. It's been a busy year on the forum, and it's turning out to be a happy place to be.
Long may it remain so!!

Welcome again Paul & Mary
Happy Christmas to you both
Look forward to our next "chance encounter" on the Ant. It would be fun to moor up on Barton again overnight. Does Sontay go under Ludham Bridge though?

Yes Polly, we did Christmas afloat last year and had a great time. We were with three other boats including Cheshire Cat, and visited a few places - Ranworth & Thurne Dyke were two that I remember from the alcohol infused days we had together

There's a Hampton Safari I've seen on the Broads called "Passing Wind"

Quite agree, The increase is reasonable. I hadn't done my homework on this and stand corrected. I wasn't aware that the Inland waterways rates were proportionately so much higher than those on the Broads. I have to agree with Marshman we are getting a pretty good deal in that case
-
I read in the paper, think it was The Daily Telegraph, that the other 2,000 miles of inland waterways tolls increase next year will be 1.6%. Not being picky you understand, just pointing out that, before we get excited, there are actually no big favours being done by the BA in particular.

We used this app as part of our safety preparations for TC's trip to Ipswich with Broad Ambition last year. Given that our max. speed was 10ish mph with the tide, it was useful to see how far way and the speed and direction of some of these sea going monsters, especially as we entered Felixstowe and had one catching us up quite quickly, and they almost certainly were unable to see us. Had we needed to we could have contacted the vessel on VHF and been able to set our course to avoid a collision. However there are very clear lanes in the Harwich area which define where us little boats go, and they are well away from the main big ships channel.
Overall a very handy app for anyone going on the rough stuff. (oops… I hope we are allowed to mention the "sea" word on here )

John, you got the first bit right, I've always enjoyed music and listening to other singers, fortunately I haven't had to listen to myselfHmmm, the thought has just occurred to me that normally it would be the seller who would pay any commission. I have never heard Simon sing...and...well... well, I've got this kind of hunch, which, not to put too finer point to it, I'd rather listen to Geoffrey sing.... well in fact I suspect I'd rather hear Dyllan than Simon!
I do accept I might be wrong, Simon might have the voice of an angel. I've never been that close to his bath to find out!

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the good luck wishes.
Yep. I did notice That is the year she was registered on the broads. It's the only certain date we have.
Considering her current amazing condition I don't think it's at all relevant to achieving a sale!
I'm confident that she will go through any survey with flying colours

Hi Bobdog
Are they sending out any more this year? Where did you read this announcement?

Just saw Poppy's Avatar, thought it was a High Street warning notice on banks
Probably more suited to 2008, but still relevant in 2014 methinks
