Thanks folks for all that information! I am out with the dogs on the ranges, then 'out & about ', but when I get back I will get the ONS maps out & have a look. I can hear my wife already saying "its a dinning table, not a map table!"

Alan one of the trails I used frequently was The Manifold Valley This was quite near the school I occasionally attended at Rocester where JCB  has its head office. This was in I think its earlyish days in the mid to late sixties, that seems an age ago now.:default_badday: If I went there now I probably would not recognise it.
